Leadership
Storytelling
Program
Lead with Conviction. Ignite with Story.
Built in the field. Refined across 500+ leaders at Cisco, Google, Uber, HPE, Salesforce, Boston Scientific, Bobcat Doosan, and San Francisco International Airport.

"There lies, in every human creature what is beautifully expressed by the word enthusiasm — which is from the Greek en theos and it means 'a god within'. It is this spirit which we all possess but which few ever awaken. A tiny spark can set the world aflame and the light of a single candle can pierce the darkness."— Professor Sumner Miller, Millergrams (1966)
Conviction is not a feeling.
It is a system.
The leaders who change rooms, change minds, and change outcomes are not the ones with the biggest titles. They are the ones who have learned to tell the story of what they believe — with such clarity and energy that others cannot help but follow. This program is the bridge between a leader's inner conviction and the stories they tell in the world.
Talented leaders routinely underperform their ability to influence — not from a skills gap, but a story gap. They have the belief. They lack the structure, the energy, and the narrative architecture to make others feel it. In a world that demands innovation, change agility, AI adoption, and sustained peak performance, that gap is more costly than ever.
Built from Ash's coaching work with senior leaders at Cisco, Google, Uber, and HPE — and grounded in the IP of The Power of Conviction. Every session pairs memorable frameworks with live application, so leaders leave having already used the ideas in the room — not just heard about them.
Four leadership imperatives.
One conviction system.
Every session, every framework, every story exercise connects to one or more of these outcomes. Leaders leave not just with communication skills — they leave with conviction stories purpose-built for the moments that determine whether their organizations move or stall.
Innovation doesn't die because organizations lack ideas. It dies because leaders can't tell the story of an idea compellingly enough to earn the resources, trust, and imagination required to bring it to life.
Change fails at the communication layer more than the strategy layer. Most leaders understand what needs to change. Few can tell the story of why in a way that makes people feel the necessity, trust the direction, and choose to move.
AI adoption is stalling in most organizations — not because the technology isn't ready, but because leaders don't know how to tell the story of AI in a way that reduces fear, builds confidence, and invites people to step forward.
Alpha performance — the discretionary energy teams choose to give beyond what's required — is activated by leaders whose conviction is so clear and present that people around them choose to bring everything they have.
Six sessions. One compounding journey.
Each session builds on the last — from awakening the conviction within, to building the story structures that carry it, to delivering it with presence, and finally to a Signature Leadership Narrative that works across every audience and context.
Participants identify the core belief that drives their leadership, understand the Conviction Flywheel as a compounding system, and begin operating from the Chief Excitement Officer identity. They draft their Leadership Conviction Statement — three versions, one for each of the whys they are navigating.
Participants learn why story transfers conviction when data alone cannot, and apply the SCR framework to build a conviction story anchored in one of the four whys. The Four-Why Story Matrix shows exactly how innovation, change, AI, and alpha performance stories are structured differently.
The Minto Pyramid gives conviction-backed recommendations their logical spine. The 3CA Story Builder makes the case human. Together they form the Conviction Case: the full architecture for any high-stakes communication — from change announcements to performance conversations to innovation pitches.
State is step zero. It powers everything. Participants activate the Chief Excitement Officer identity for AI and innovation conversations — learning the CEO Preparation Ritual and applying it to their real upcoming high-stakes moments. The AI Conviction Story Framework shows how to make technology human.
Movements require coalition. Participants build the Stakeholder Conviction Map for a real initiative — identifying who needs to believe what, and what story gets them there. BLUF becomes a conviction delivery vehicle. The session ends with a facilitated simulation: a skeptical stakeholder, live coaching, belief in real-time.
Every participant delivers their Signature Leadership Narrative — 2 minutes of conviction, story, and invitation that integrates all four whys and all six sessions. The cohort ends with a 90-Day Conviction Plan, a round of "what I'm taking forward," and the Miller quote read aloud in full circle.
The Conviction Flywheel
Every session is anchored by this compounding system. It doesn't run on information. It runs on conviction. Each time a leader tells a conviction-grounded story that lands — that moves someone — the flywheel spins faster. The results compound.
= 4 days of execution progress
When a leader communicates with conviction, teams spend less time in ambiguity and more time in motion. That 400% multiplier, compounded across a cohort of leaders, is the definition of alpha performance at the organizational level.
1:1 Executive Practice Labs
Available to select leaders — identified by sponsor or self-selected. Labs are not required. They multiply the value of the group experience by making the work personal, precise, and applied to real upcoming moments.
Surface the leader's conviction across all four whys. Identify the highest-leverage story. Build and refine the conviction story for a real scenario — stress-testing the complication, the resolution, and the belief that makes it land.
Live simulation of a real upcoming conversation — AI town hall, innovation pitch, change announcement. Full stakeholder conviction mapping for a real initiative, with three audience-specific conviction messages and a sequencing strategy.
The Signature Narrative refined and stress-tested against the leader's real audiences. A written summary of the leader's communication arc across the program — their growth, their breakthrough moment, and a concrete 90-day conviction plan.
